談及內容:疫情之下的紡織環保去向

Check out the Webinar here for MTI, our partnering agency in NYC, with Carved in blue, here we talked about:

1)SOURCING: We hear of the ‘exodus from China’ or brands minimizing exposure in China.  Is this a real threat to your business?  How are you addressing this?
Mozartex: In this difficult time, we do see major retailers are struggling to find a balance between sustainability and cost, so many of them have to source from very cheap country. But, on the other hand, we see many thoughtful young designers set up their eco-fashion clothing brand through social media with more and more followers, these new brands usually care more about sustainability then cheap fabric, so Chinese mills are good options for them. The only problems is that they are difficult to find low minimum sustainable materials in China, as materials always have to be made by order production with minimum like at least 1 tone, which is impossible for these new brands. Mozartex are try to support these sustainable but small inquiry and provide them green choices low minimum by gathering these brands inquiry together to reach minimum or actively stocking materials like pima organic cotton and ecovero, not to mention the mill itself is professional Tencel dyeing house, who 90% of their product are already sustainable Tencel with very flexible minimum

2)CIRCULARITY:  With 50MT of textile and apparel waste discarded annually, how can the denim industry truly make an impact? Is this part of your company vision?
Mozartex: Mozartex’s circularity is in material and process, 90% of our product are Tencel and can be change into refibra, and also provide other biodegradable fiber options like pima organic cotton, ecovero. The process and machine are water/energy less eco-logical process with biodegrade water treatment system. Ate he whole the mill use less resource then

3)TRANSPARENCY:  There are more discussions now on knowing where products are made and who is making them.  How much is too much transparency? Does the consumer really care?
Mozartex: Mozartex’s transparency is we purchase fiber directly from Lenzing Shanhai and then commission spinning /weaving to Lenzing’s qualified mills in nearby Jiangsu area. Dye & finish in our own facility. Then ship goods to brand’s nominated garment maker before selling in store. This not only ensures a clear history but also small carbon footprints
